1915 Born in Leamington Spa

1939 Entered the army

1941 Captured, remaining in concentration camps the rest of the war years where he met the painter Adrian Heath who taught Frost to paint.

1945 Attended evening classes, Birmingham Art College

1946 Moved to Cornwall, attending art classes at St. Ives School of painting

1947 Studied at the Camberwell School of Art, London

1949 First abstract painting

1954-56 Gregory Fellow at Leeds University
