1930-34 Lived in Northern Ireland 1934 Family moved to outskirts of Manchester 1945-47 Attended Junior Arts School, Manchester 1948-50 Served in the National Service as a Medical Orderly, R.A.F. 1954-56 Attended Regional College of Art, Manchester 1956-59 Studied painting and sculpture at Slade School of Art, London 1959-60 Postgraduate studies in sculpture, Slade School 1960-64 Became a full-time teacher in drawing, painting and sculpture at West of England College of Art, Bristol 1964-77 In charge of Foundation Studies, Oxford Polytechnic 1975 Consistently destroyed his work up until this point 1977-83 Part-time teaching at the Slade, Goldsmiths College, Royal Academy Schools, Canterbury and Winchester Colleges of Art and Sir John Cass College
