Description:

Victor Pasmore's paintings flirted with abstraction for years until he finally gave way to it completely, having discovered the manner in which he could use it to its fullest potential. In the 1950s he began to make relief collages built forward from the picture plane, initially of paper, later using wood, plastic and metal. Point of Contact: Brown Development is the last in a series of nine projective relief constructions in painted wood made in 1971.
