Description:

Second state, An impression at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (63.995) bears the inscription in pen 'Dressing for Church ( it was ? In Wellington House/ where ? Dickens ? went to school) to W.H.Davies Walter Sickert'. (William Henry Davies (1871 - 1940) poet, author and friend of the artist.

David Strang printed 16 posthumous impressions (1945-47) for the Sickert Trust before cancelling the plate.
