Description:

Second state, Whitwirth Art Gallery, University of Manchester and other repositories.

First state, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Portrait of the artist and influentual art critic Roger Fry (1866 - 1934) lecturing. Fry's enthusiasm for the French Post-Impressionists was not shared by his long-term friend Sickert.

David Strang printed 16 posthumous impressions (1945-47) for the Sickert Trust before cancelling the plate.
